Paua is the name given to Abalone in New Zealand. The Paua shell belongs to the organic gemstone category, which includes coral, pearl, and kauri gum. Due to the natural formation of the shell, each locket is unique in all their colours and patterns.
The lockets water resistant screw type closure means the gemstones are secure and there is no risk of accidental opening.
